Live Bait Done Right

s03e24 Last trip out I tried live baiting again, with about the same amount of success as always. I have been told live bait is the way to go. I had been told, many years ago, how to hook the live bait. I believe live bait would be the best, just that it hasn’t worked for me. But ever the optimist I determined several months ago that I was going to persevere and practice until I got it right. Last trip out was going to be a mostly live bait trip. It started off well, I got 22 slimy mackerel to use as live bait. I was bitten off twice, had 18 strikes with zero hook-ups and threw 2 back to be bait for someone else another day. So this time I did what I should have done in the first place. I consulted the Oracle to see if my understanding od how live baits should be rigged was correct. The Oracle, otherwise known as YouTube, knows all. It certainly knows a lot about rigging live bait. To be fair, the people who explained how to do it many years ago were correct, it’s just that their words didn’t compare with a video example.
