📖 A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew 2:13-15, 19-23 When the wise men had departed, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is about to search for the child to destroy him.” So Joseph got up, took the child and his mother by night, and went to Egypt, and remained there until the death of Herod, so that what the Lord had spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled: “Out of Egypt I called my son.” After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared again in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to kill the child are dead.” So he got up, took the child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to Galilee and settled in a town called Nazareth. This fulfilled what was spoken through the prophets: “He will be called a Nazarene.” 💭 Today's reflection: Joseph does not hesitate. He listens to God and protects life. The Holy Family knows fear, exile, and uncertainty, but they never walk alone. ✨ When we obey God, even in the darkest hours, He transforms trials into paths of salvation. 🙏 Trust: God guides your steps today as well.
