In this homily for the Feast of the Holy Family (December 28, 2025), we reflect on the Gospel according to Matthew 2:13-15, 19-23, where Joseph listens to God’s voice in dreams and faithfully protects Mary and the infant Jesus as they flee to Egypt and later return to settle in Nazareth. Catholic Lectionary The Feast of the Holy Family invites us to consider how trust, obedience, and love shape our own family lives. Just as Joseph, Mary, and Jesus faced danger with courage and faith, we too are called to build homes rooted in God’s presence and grace.
