The textbook definition of wasted potential. I unironically believe this boss' OST is the greatest in the game, if not the entire series. Why such a beautiful track is wasted on a re-used asset fight is beyond me. Well, I do have one theory: Miyazaki has two epic bosses planned for DLC 1: Friede, and some other amazingly-designed encounter. Part way through Friede's design process, Miyazaki realizes he needs more people working on modelling and animating her feet. He puts all his best people on the task, even the team behind boss 2. Problem is, Kitamura's already been commissioned for boss 2's track. Time is running out, so the only staff with time to spare throw something together with pre-existing assets. Pants-less NPC and Sif 2.0 time. The most they can do is give Gravetender a new weapon: Valorheart. Now the laziest encounter in the game has the greatest OST.
