The ban has already come into immediate effect in eight right-leaning states, thanks to so-called 'trigger-laws'. And several more states are expected to follow suit in the coming weeks. But western states - California, Oregon and Washington - have vowed to quote 'fight like hell', and provide a safe haven for anyone seeking an abortion.
