Father of two killed in Amazon shooting; what sparked this deadly confrontation - Nonstop News

Two men have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a deadly shooting outside an Amazon fulfillment center in Far West Bexar County. Jamari McKillion, 21, and David Perez Morales Jr., 20, were arrested on first-degree felony murder warrants in the shooting death of Katrael Delosier. The deadly shooting happened around 10 p.m. in the parking lot of the Amazon Fulfillment Center off U.S. Highway 90 West and Loop 1604. Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Investigators identified the victims as Delosier and Johnny Bermea III. Both were rushed to the hospital, where Delosier later died. Bermea was treated and remained in stable condition. Investigators say the shooting followed an argument between an Amazon employee and Bermea earlier in the evening. The arrest affidavit says the two agreed to fight during a scheduled work break. Unbeknownst to the victim, the employee called some friends of his as "back up." According to the affidavit, witnesses reported that during a break, the employee lured Bermea toward a vehicle in the parking lot, which were the employee's friends. A man then exited the vehicle and opened fire before driving off. The affidavit says that McKillion was driving the vehicle involved in the shooting. Investigators believe another passenger, identified as Morales, fired the shots that killed Delosier. Surveillance video, witness statements, and cell phone location data are cited in the affidavit as evidence placing McKillion at the scene and linking him to the events leading up to the shooting. McKillion was detained the following day at his workplace, another Amazon warehouse in San Antonio. Investigators also seized his vehicle as evidence. Delosier's family is devastated by the loss. His brother shared that Delosier leaves behind a wife and two young sons. He was a hardworking father who had just finished college to become a mechanic and was in the process of closing on a home to build a better life for his family. The family emphasized that violence leaves scars far beyond the moment it occurs, destroying families, shattering communities, and changing lives forever.
