The most wanted Al Shabaab facilitator, Francis Macharia Karishu, has been charged with conspiracy to commit a terrorist act and giving support to a terrorist group. He faced charges of secretly embedding explosives in a motor vehicle. He is accused of making it a vehicle-borne-improvised-explosive-device with the help of others. He denied the charges where he was also accused of supporting terrorist group Al Shabaab, by making a forged Kenya national identity card bearing the name Jirma Huka Galgalo, who is deceased, and was a member of the terror group. The prosecution objected his release arguing that he is facing very serious offences and is therefore likely to skip subsequent appearances. Karishu, who was, was arrested in Kayole is alleged to have committed the offences on or before 15th February in Nairobi's Central Business District.
