------Episode.1------- Kimberly It was Sunday morning. The sun was shining through my window, and I could hear birds singing to each other outside. Being the first one up, I sauntered down the stairs, and walked into our bright orange, and brown kitchen. It had a warm feeling to it, and it always smelt like coffee. I took a mug from the polished wood cabinet, and poured some of the bitter stuff in it, adding hazelnut creamer, and some sugar. I walked to the back door, clutching the brass door knob, and stepping out into the warm atmosphere. My long blonde hair flew back as the wind wafted threw it, and the sun's rays hit my face at a perfect angle. It was peaceful. Sitting in a lawn chair on the saturated grass with nature. Not having to hear your parents fight all the time. Not having to deal with your pesky siblings. None of those things could bother me in my little serene world. I could lay here forever, but I knew that wasn't an option. I sipped the hot coffee gradually, and just enjoyed the moment while I had it. "Kim..." My mom yelled my name from the back door. Groaning, I eventually decided to reply instead of hiding from her for another ten minutes. "Yes, mom?" I said trying to keep my voice pleasant, and submissive. I knew she did a lot for me, and that she was trying her best being an only parent, but I just wanted to relax. It was only the second day of summer. I didn't have homework as an excuse for not doing my chores anymore. "Come inside right quick. There's someone I want you to meet." Who goes to peoples houses at eight in the morning?! I got up anyway, and ambled back to the house. Sitting on one of the bar stools was a lady with crimson brown hair that looked like she was around her thirties. There were four teenagers beside her - a girl, and three boys- and I right away wished I would have gotten dressed before I came down this morning. I step forward, and shake her hand as she introduces herself, and the teens adjacent to her. My mom jumps in right away, and introduces me as if I can't speak for myself. "Pattie this is my daughter, Kim." She beams at the women as if I'm some kind of prize. I was always the good child. Perfect grades. Perfect behavior. The boring one out of all four I consistently thought. I was no prize though. Justin I stood next to Ryan, leaning against the granite counter top island. I sneaked small glances at the blonde next to my mom. She was gorgeous, but I wasn't going to let her catch me staring. Her smile was genuine, but her deep blue-green eyes showed dejection, and anguish. "It's Kimberly" She says right after her mom announced her as Kim. She held one arm tightly around her small frame while the other gripped onto the coffee mug handle. She was fragile, and petite. She was broken inside. You could tell someone had hurt her before. She looked down at her feet, and didn't imply anything as our moms talked business, and eventually walked off leaving us all in the kitchen. I was planning on flirting with her, but that urge to go after my prey wasn't there. I didn't consider myself a player. I just never really get deep into a relationship knowing someone's going to get hurt. So it's girl after girl. Heartbreak after heartbreak. I just needed that one. The one that's right for me. I consciously tread forward, watching my every move. She looks up slightly, and I see her enticing blue-green eyes look up at my mocha brown ones. I give her a wholehearted smile knowing what she's really feeling inside. Pain. - Comment, rate, subscribe and I'll love you like a fat boy loves cake :)
