U.S.-Japan trade talks underway

Japan and the U.S. kick off their first round of trade negotiations. The talks are led by U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Japanese Economy Minister Toshimitsu Motegi. The U.S. has spelled out 22 specific negotiation areas including non-tariff barriers in Japan's auto market. The U.S. has historically been Japan's biggest ally.
