UN Security Council blacklists dozens of ships, businesses over North Korea smuggling

"안보리, 대북 블랙리스트 49개 추가…역대 최대" The UN Security Council has blacklisted 27 ships, 21 companies and a businessman for helping North Korea skirt international sanctions. The action, which came at the request of the U.S., bans global port entry for 13 North Korean vessels, and twelve other ships suspected of helping North Korea smuggle goods. Two other North Korean ships were hit with a global assets freeze. The sanctioned individual -- a businessman named Tsang Yung Yuan -- was placed under a global travel ban and assets freeze for helping illegal shipments of North Korean coal.
