According to state media, an Israeli missile assault on the Masyaf neighborhood in Syria's Hama countryside killed five people and wounded seven others, including a toddler, late Friday. The assault started at 2023 local time and came from the area of West Banyas, according to the military statement. According to the report, one of those murdered was a civilian. A representative for the Israeli military refused to comment. According to Syrian official media, the rockets set fire to wooded areas in Masyaf and caused minor material damage.
