Zelensky tells EU leaders: Russia does not want peace

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said EU candidate status for Ukraine will be one of the most important decisions of European leaders of the 21st century. Speaking at a joint news conference with the leaders of France, Germany, Italy and Romania who were visiting Kyiv, Zelenskyy said: "I believe that this decision will be our solid historical success." The Ukrainian leader claimed that Russia's goal is to break Ukraine and Europe as a whole, and insisted that unity is essential to break this scenario.
