The Wise Men Visit Jesus - Matthew 2:1-12 The Wise Men, also called the Magi, are often shown visiting Jesus in the manger, but they actually came when Jesus was about two years old. They traveled a long way, following a bright star that led them to Bethlehem. When they arrived, they found Jesus living in a small house with His parents, Mary and Joseph. They bowed down and worshiped Him, giving Him precious gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh—gifts fit for a king! The Magi were warned in a dream not to go back to King Herod, who wanted to hurt Jesus. So, they went home another way, and along the journey, they told everyone they met about the King they had found. Even though Christmas is over so quickly, Jesus is still the King and Savior every day! We don’t just celebrate Him for a few days in December—He is with us all year long.
