The Best Electric Violin, Pickup, Preamp and Amplifier!

This is my definitive starter guide for an acoustic professional or advanced player without (or with minimal) electric experience. Buy what you can afford with extra money you have saved. I am sold on the method of violin pickup to preamp to mini PA. This is the most versatile option and the PA is more transparent than a guitar amp. Tone shaping happens in the preamp. Warning… Do not plug from your violin directly into a PA!!! Personal PAs have LOW impedance inputs- It is not the correct impedance and will barely register a signal. You need a separate preamp to play with a mini PA. You need two guitar cables to do this... Or a guitar cable and an XLR cable. A condenser microphone powered by 48V phantom power from the PAs listed below will work without a preamp in between.
