Craftsman Belt Drive Garage Door Opener Drive Belt Identification, Selection, & Replacement

In this video we will go over repairing a broken drive belt on a Sears Craftsman belt drive garage door opener, or Chamberlain and Liftmaster also. There are three different belt sizes for these types of garage door openers from Sears, each being of a different length. With Sears being bankrupt now the parts are no longer available from them directly, but you can still find OEM parts as well as imported aftermarket ones (note that these aftermarket belts will often be of a different length than OEM ones). The belt drive garage door openers illustrated are the Sears Craftsman 139.53915D and 139.53918D with accessory 139.53728 (8ft rail extension). But this problem, and the technical information and repair approach, could apply to any Craftsman belt drive garage door opener (or Liftmaster or Chamberlain) of similar design. The following part number list is not exhaustive, but illustrative of the different models using these same drive belt part numbers. Some belt drive garage door openers that utilize these belt part numbers: Craftsman: 139.53914D, 139.53915D, 139.51918D, 139.53964SRT, 139.18489DS Liftmaster: HD600, WD952KD, WD9452KLD, WD822KD, WD833KS, WD912KS The eBay and Amazon search links below are paid links, for which I may be compensated and earn a commission, if you choose to buy the parts and tools shown in this video thru them: Liftmaster / Chamberlain OEM drive belt 41A5250 for 7ft high garage doors (~233" long): https://ebay.us/646oMq or https://amzn.to/45VjjAK Liftmaster / Chamberlain OEM drive belt 41A5250-1 for 8ft high garage doors (~255" long): https://ebay.us/HmUOF2 or https://amzn.to/3J3zguX Liftmaster / Chamberlain OEM drive belt 41A5250-2 for 10ft high garage doors (~305.5" long): https://ebay.us/WEkCdx or https://amzn.to/43VMPV1 And if I've saved you some $$ here, consider some coins for the coffee tip-jar! https://ko-fi.com/drshock Chapters: 0:00 - Drive belt selection overview 2:10 - Drive belt identification 5:23 - Owners manual drive belt installation steps 7:34 - Drive belt installation 14:41 - Final testing #drshock Disclaimer: DrShock, the alias for the human content creator for this YouTube channel, is not responsible for any damages, injuries, losses, or liabilities associated with any repairs, upgrades, or maintenance performed on yours, or any other, product whatsoever.
