German ship rescues migrants

Finally, I found myself in the middle of the sea. So I was shouting in the boat and the boat was about to capsize, so I was shouting and I was crying, my gosh, come to me and rescue. So I finally met a good people that come around - the rescuers from the boat. They gave us shelter, bread, water. I like it." 3. SOUNDBITE (English) name not given due to security reasons, Executive Officer of "Frankfurt Am Main" ship: "Today we had an order to rescue 105 migrants from a small rubber boat out of the sea. We found them in north part from the Libyan coast, they are now aboard and well registrated (registered). They are placed in accommodation area. Medical check was done and all people felt well. We are handing them over to an Italian unit." 6. Various of migrants and refugees being transferred to Italian ship STORYLINE: A German combat support ship rescued more than a hundred migrants and refugees in the Mediterranean Sea on Tuesday, in an area north of the Libyan coast. Mostly from African countries, the 105 were rescued from a rubber boat after more than 12 hours at sea by the "Frankfurt am Main". The ship is part of a European Union military operation in the southern and central Mediterranean (EUNAVFOR MED) which is aimed at identifying, capturing and disposing of vessels used by migrant smugglers or traffickers.
