Union minister Kiren Rijiju allayed fears over the Citizenship Amendment Bill in the Northeast. Talking to newspersons, Rijiju stated that there is no need to worry as he asserted that the indigenous people would be well protected, which will be clear once the revised CAB is passed and introduced.
