Mawa Modak | Modak Recipe | मावा मोदक | Ganesh Chaturthi Special | Food Tak

Making Lord Ganesha’s favourite Mawa Modak is so easy that you’ll end up preparing it for more occasions than just Ganesh Chaturthi. Ingredients: 2 tsp butter 2 tbsp cream 2 cups milk powder 2 tbsp sugar Cardamom powder Almonds Pistachios Saffron Cashews Dates Method: Heat butter in a wok or kadhai. Add the cream and mix both together. Lower the flame and add milk powder. Mix everything well to make fresh mawa. Set it aside to cool down completely. Now add sugar and cardamom powder to the mawa and mix well. You can form the mawa modaks immediately, or prepare them with a variety of flavours. Badam pista: Add chopped almonds and pistachios to the mawa and mix well. Kesar kaju: Add saffron soaked in milk or water and chopped cashews. Mix well. Khajoor: Soak dates in hot water, then either chop them finely or grind them to a coarse paste. Add to the mawa and mix well. Stuff the mawa mix of your choice into the modak moulds.
