My TOM WAITS tribute

My TOM WAITS tribute

(Pm me Tom) No one has had a greater impression on me musically and artistically than Tom waits has. I love the way he can be way out one minute, then slay you with the most beautiful melody the next. This is simply my thanks to him for his work. I know he will never hear this... But in the back of my mind I hope he is surfing the web with a grin. I cannot even afford to see him anymore... Tickets are brought up immediately by Record Label Yuppies, Journalists and Celebrities. What chance has the little guy, the fan got?!! Anyway... This is for you Tom... and thanks for your great work. I tried to capture some of your style, but i'm only me. About the Vid : Where am I now? Why am I here? Do I really belong here? Who am I? (People in their own Private and Special Worlds. Some lost, Some sharing. All trying to cope in their own ways.) Great pics (as always.) I have got more involved in the look of the pics. Altering the contrasts, temperatures, lights and darks. The pics deserve a bit of attention in that regard. The music...I slowed it all down. Getting old, I guess.. Piano, with synth sax (don't know any sax players) and strings to let the thing soar. Complicated but accessible. Not to notey. I like sparcity here. And a tune you can remember. A bit like my 'Old friends' vid in some ways (But you probably can't hum it) I wrote this at work and had to put this all together during my lunch break. It does have a nice feel to it though. Give it a go. I hate the first shot. The lettering is in the wrong place. Posted it and then went 'Noooo!!!!' That is going to bug me, till I do the next one. I know... So, enjoy the ride. Let me know what you think. Hope you like it Peace and good health. Thanks for watching, those that did !! Andy PS. The next one is VERY dark. (Done the music already.) Be warned !!! And'ys Review: I have already said a lot about this one. But hearing it again, I think it is pretty decent. Sure the playing is a touch too loose. But the idea works. Should have played this better. Like the synth sax sound here. The closest to this is my Sometime's Life's Like That Vid. As close to Tom Waits as I could get, too. A grand oddity.
