Dropkicking Thief Makes a Big Exit

BSO detectives are releasing surveillance video of a fleet-footed felon who waltzes into a Pembroke Park pawn shop, steals a $5,000 necklace and makes a mad dash for the exit. Though part of the video is blurry, it clearly shows the agile suspect as he jumps and dropkicks the door as he flees. As he performed the maneuver, he dropped his black San Francisco Giants baseball hat. The suspect walked into the Peoples Pawn & Jewelry at 2910 SW 30 Avenue at around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 16. He walked in carrying an HP printer box containing two Nike shoe boxes. He asked to try on a 14 karat yellow gold necklace. Once he had it on, he ran for the door. The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-to-late 20s. He's about 5'6 tall, weighs about 135 lbs. and was wearing a light blue, polo-style shirt and white or khaki shorts and has a tattoo of the word "son" on his left forearm. Anyone with information is asked to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
