While the Air Assault Class of Mjolnir may have entered service in 2535, early prototypes of the armor had existed for nearly a decade prior. This prototype is shown in Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, which primarily takes place in the spring of 2526, placing Air Assault as one of the earliest variations of Mjolnir in development.
