So context… Several days prior to this event, Devious Diesel returned to Sodor. He shunted at Knapford for a while, but was moved to the Brendan branch to help Edward with his workload. The old engine couldn’t get into the works a while, so Diesel worked with freight and some shunting. During his time, diesel was a different engine than his previous visits and Edward noticed that. He began thinking Diesel could have changed, until one evening. During the wasteland, Edward, Diesel, SCC Twins, Salty, and Thomas hung out around Brendam docks. One day, Edward decided he would evacuate people who lived near the line on the brendam branch. While at Suddery, something happened that caused a panic. Edward hurried out of the station with Diesel (who followed a distance away to escape) not far behind. Only a mile from Suddery, Edward’s front wheels suddenly jump the tracks and drag Edward off the rails. They yell for Diesel to help, but he just passes by… Maybe he can’t change…?
