Jewish and Muslim clerics find common ground in the battle to defend practice of ritual circumcision

Jewish and Muslim clerics have come together to lobby against a resolution pushed by the Council of Europe, to ban male circumcision in across the continent. The religious leaders who met with the Council of Europe's secretary-general expressed their concern over the resolution passed on 1 October which recommends that members of states start banning any type of physical assault on children, including religious circumcision.
