Kulpa ejected Shildt for arguing the crew chief's decision to deny the challenge request for being untimely by taking longer than 20 seconds to request a review. The original call - an out call at first base - would likely have been overturned had the review been permitted as replays indicate the runner was likely safe. Cabrera's ejection was a ball/strike dispute on a 3-2 count. Fairchild ejected Cabrera for what's known as "actions intended to ridicule" in the MLB Umpire Manual, as Cabrera was walking from the pitcher's mound to the dugout after the walk.
