INDIA TO PARTICIPATE IN SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANISATION COUNCIL MEET

External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar is set to visit Uzbekistan on July 28 to take part in the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) council of foreign ministers. Jaishankar is participating in the event at the invitation of the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov. The meeting assumes significance as the foreign ministers will hold discussions and prepare for the upcoming meeting of the council of heads of state which is slated to be held on September 15 to September 16 in Samarkand .
