Water Ballet (1953)

Ilford, Essex. Various shots of the girls of the Voyagers' Swimming Club being given instruction by their coach Frank Letchford. The girls, wearing swimsuits, run along the side of an outdoor swimming pool and sit on the ground. Frank instructs them in various water ballet movements, practised on dry ground. The girls in dark swimsuits put on flippers and dive into the pool one by one. Several shots of them doing synchronised swimming in the pool. After doing several other water ballet moves the girls form a circle in the water. Another girl swimmer jumps from the top of the diving board into the water, hitting the centre of the circle.
