Dark Souls 2: SotFS - SL1 | Blue Smelter Demon (Hitless)

Just a quick video showing me fighting Blue Smelter Demon at Soul Level 1 in Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin. Well would you look at that. So as it turns out, it is very possible to kill big Smelty without taking aura damage. This attempt shows that it's possible to skip the aura completely by playing aggressively enough, to the point where he skips his aura buffing stage and moves straight to buffing his sword. Despite this, it's actually possible to max range poke him with the Zweihander during certain openings to still avoid the aura when he does apply it. It's painful, but it's doable. Getting him to skip aura isn't super consistent, but it is certainly the easier of both of those options to do a true hitless fight against this boss.
