Should we add Accessibility & Difficulty Options into Soulsborne & Soulslike Games?
We've had difficulty options in video games for many a decade, even on NES titles like Mega Man 2 and Sega Genesis titles like The Revenge of Shinobi, and they've since evolved into more varied accessibility options with games such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Yet, weirdly enough, whenever someone brings up difficulty or accessibility options for super touch games, including and especially Soulsborne games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls & Soulslike games like Mortal Shell and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, suddenly, everyone pulls a 180 and gatekeeps the games.
