Aliv ladoo is a traditional Maharashtrian recipe.These ladoos are usually consumed during winter. Adding jaggery & coconut make them super healthy and delicious. They are very good for immunity, growing children, Adults facing hair loss and also for lactating women. Aliv is also called Halim. In English they are called garden cress seeds. INGREDIENTS: 1 Cup Aliv seeds 1 Fresh Coconut 1 Cup jaggery(Gur) 2 Tablespoons ghee Optional-Coconut water/normal water Method: 1.Soak Aliv seeds for 1hour in coconut water or /normal water. 2.Heat 2tablespoon ghee in a kadhai. 3.Add 1cup of jaggery mix well until no lumps. 4.Add the soaked Aliv seeds cook the mix for a few minutes. 4.Add 1freshly grated coconut mix well until it's became dry. 5.Cook for 15 min. 6.Allow to cool for few minutes. 7.Roll ladoos in to small size ball. Notes: 1.These ladoos will remain good at room temperature for about 4-5days. 2.These ladoos will remain good in air tight container in freeze for about 8-10 days.
