Emil's Little Shop of Wonders - NieR: Automata

Emil's Little Shop of Wonders - NieR: Automata

Not only did we get to interact with one of the best characters in the whole NieR series, but I think his parting words pretty much confirm the purpose of that seemingly VERY out-of-place chasm I stumbled into all those episodes ago. I mean, nothing else so far even comes NIERLY as close to "picture the deepest place, and go DEEPER" than that chasm. Not even close. We also get to hear a remix of his theme, which is nice. Doesn't have as much emotional weight, but it's nice to hear him being upbeat and optimistic as ever. With me gushing in a previous video over how Wretched Automatons sounds a lot like Wretched Weaponry, and all the other tracks in this game that are re-renditions of original NieR songs, I liked noticing that detail. And of course, stopping Emil's shop by hitting him is just so ridiculous and silly, and I'm gonna have a lot of fun with that x) Too bad the chips he sells are pretty bad. If you buy base chips from the camp and upgrade them to +3, they'll cost like 14 space, though Emil does have some chips that I don't see sold anywhere else. It's still better to farm and fuse them yourself. In the end, though, it's just nice to see Emil. He really is a precious cinnamon bun who should be protected at all costs. The poor boy's been through enough as it is. He's lived so long and saw all of his friends die on him, and watched the world become what it is now, all on his own...
