16mm sound film "TUNES OF THE TIMES" GB 1939

Here is another in the series of "BBC Musicals" made by Horace Shepherd and released via his company Inspiration Films for the UK cinema. This one begins with interesting vintage shots of central London - 'Tin Pan Alley' - Denmarjk Street and Charing Cross Road I guess. This early footage seems to have been filmed at silent speed - maybe from the 1920s?
