Clementi, Sonatina in C major, Op. 36, No. 1, Andante Sheet Music Sonatina in C major, by Muzio Clementi, is a relatively short sonatina for piano. The second movement, andante, has the formal structure ABA. Section A starts with the main theme in the tonality of F major. The theme begins with the tonic chord of F and ends with a half cadence in the main tonality on the dominant chord of C. It then follows by a modulation to the dominante tonality of C major. The middle section modulates to G minor, ending in the tonality of C major. The last section repeats the main theme, and ends the piece with a perfect cadence in the main tonality of F major.
