Meeting STORYLINE: Saudi Arabia's King Salman met with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Friday. King Salman's visit highlights China's increasing engagement with the Middle East, which provides a crucial source of energy to fuel its economy. On Thursday, Salman held talks with President Xi Jinping. His visit is part of a month-long swing through Asia in a push to develop a less oil-dependent growth strategy. Beijing, which is rolling out a trade and investment initiative across Central Asia and the Middle East called "One Belt, One Road", sees the desert kingdom as a regional linchpin. Salman, who is travelling with a 1,500-strong retinue of businessmen, princes and support staff in close to a dozen aircraft, is next due to visit the Maldives.
