Supreme Court Steps In On the Release Of Convicts In The Bilkis Bano Case

On his penultimate working day, a three judge bench headed by the Chief Justice of India NV Ramana on Thursday issued notices to the Gujarat Govt and the Centre to respond to the petitions challenging the remission granted to the convicts in the Bilkis Bano case. The bench also directed that the 11 convicts who have been released be made party to the case.
