To my mind Fred was WA's best in their opening Champs game for 2025, part of a balanced team effort that saw them emerge victorious against Vic Country in a close affair. WA were fumbly with the ball early in the game, perhaps suffering from nerves, but a moment of quality from Fred to kick their opening goal helped to settle them down.
