GRAHAM PARKER Just Like A Man

The blistering opening track to Graham Parker's 1983 album 'The Real Macaw' which landed 40 years ago this month. Parker had been around since the mid 70's and despite hailing from England, had a strong following in Australia, and we helped propel his career once 'Hey Lord Don't Ask Me Questions' was a hit here in 1978. Graham did manage to break into the American market but copped criticism for shifting his style of music. Nevertheless he continued to enjoy success all over the world including in his homeland. 'Just Like A Man' was not issued as a single, but I thought it was a great track to celebrate 40 years since 'The Real Macaw' was issued. It performed well in America and was generally positively reviewed. There are other selections by this great artist on my channel.
