#MarvelsAvengersBeta #Ryzen3600 #GTX1070 Marvel’s Avengers Open Beta tested on Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1070. Greetings, everyone. Today we’re testing the Marvel’s Avengers Open Beta on PC. I wasn’t very interested on this game, especially knowing the closed beta was only for pre-orders, but since they opened it up this weekend to everyone, I decided to give it a go, so here we are. My current PC specs are the following: -CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (stock settings) with Coolermaster Hyper 212 Black RGB (w/2 fans, push-pull). -Mobo: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC. -GPU: Inno3D Twin X2 GTX 1070 (stock) and WHQL driver 452.06. -RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (2x8GB) CL16 DDR4@3200 Mhz. -Storage: PNY XLR8 CS3030 1TB NVMe (O.S.), Samsung 750 EVO 500 GB. -Case: Fractal Design Meshify S2 (Intake: 2x140 Front, 1x120 Lower Front - Exhaust: 1x140 Rear, 1x120 Top/VRM Area) -PSU: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold. -O.S: Windows 10 Pro 64bit (v.2004) -Monitor: AOC AGON AG251FG 1080p-240Hz. Some useful timestamps: [MENUS and SETTINGS] 00:00 - Intro and General settings (Audio, etc.) 01:20 - Controls, Gamepad and Keybinds 04:22 - Display and Graphics (Brightness Calibration too) [IN GAME] 07:50 - Intro area 13:39 - Graphic Presets overview and quick test (Lowest to Very High) 16:11 - Indoors testing (Particle Lighting, Shadows, etc.) 21:18 - Some more testing outdoors (first mission) 23:12 - 1440p DSR Downsampling 23:56 - FidelityFX CAS testing (can't notice any FPS improvements) 25:09 - Some more gameplay with Custom Settings and Dynamic Resolution at 60FPS target This game currently seems to suffer from some optimization issues, it’s especially very GPU demanding though, so that might be intentional or by design. It runs on the DX12 API and it seems most of the frame-rate issues I encounter are GPU related, not CPU, but you never know with betas and from what I heard these past few days, it used to run even worse previously, so take that as you will. Most of the graphical settings aren’t that demanding honestly, considering how the game runs, and the two main settings I found actually with meaningful impact are Particle Lighting quality and SSR Reflections, with maybe the highest Shadows setting in there too. The rest are pretty much good to set at High or even further beyond on my system without much different in performance. Controls and Keybinds seem quite decent and fine, the game doesn’t require a ton of keys or commands, everything’s quite simple since it’s a multiplatform game. I can set up my usual left handed controls, including arrow keys and all the surrounding keys too, so all seems good there. In any case, some people seem to be reporting frequent crashes and driver/GPU timeout issues, my game only crashed once after repeated times minimizing it, while recording at the same time and of course running Rivatuner’s OSD, so usually games in a beta state tend to not like that a lot, and crash. Other than that…well I feel this performance could still improve for release because it seems pretty obvious the game still has some corners to polish in there. As usual, I hope this can be useful to any of you, and I’ll see you in the next one : )
