For the second year in a row, Kenyans marked the Easter season without fanfare owing to the new COVID-19 restrictions, and partial lockdown in five counties. Hotel industry which normally enjoys peak season during Easter recorded below 5 per cent bed occupancy, while major towns remained deserted with no travelling and festivities.
