Leo and Mom were discharged from the hospital today, one hour before the first pitch of NLCS Game 5. A mere four days old, he was happily swinging in the bottom of the 9th inning when Travis Ishikawa grooved a 3-run walk off home run to beat the St. Louis Cardinals to propel the San Francisco Giants to the World Series. Leo was born on 10/12/14... and the Giants won the World Series in '10, '12, and.. perhaps '14??? (He was also watching the game to see if he could see his Uncle Roy on TV, sitting three rows behind the Cardinals bullpen.) But, to be certain, Leo was born into Red Sox Nation. He just like exciting baseball! This was Leo's first experience with TV... with a sporting event... with a swing.. with being at home... with, well, a lot of things. Wow. What a first it was! He was clearly enthralled. Yes, he's a little close to the TV... and yes, it's a little loud... but it was only for a few minutes. I promise. Mom made sure about THAT!!!
