Merkel: We can overcome test of terror threat

(22 Dec 2016) :Germany's interior minister has confirmed the fingerprints of the Tunisian man being sought over Monday's Berlin truck attack have been found in the vehicle's cab. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said she is "confident that we can really overcome this test we are currently facing." Merkel made the comments after visiting the Federal Criminal Police Office on Thursday, alongside Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere and Justice Minister Heiko Maas. Authorities across Europe are scrambling to find the 24-year-old suspect, Anis Amri, a day after Germany issued a wanted notice for him and warned that he may be "violent and armed."
