a little fanmade concept i thought if danny antonucci pitched ed edd n eddy to nickelodeon if they were more fair on creative control. i can see why he had plans to pitch his idea to this network before ending up to cartoon network. he was known for his work at mtv, a viacom-owned channel. i did thought of a bunch of lore into this if ed edd n eddy ended up becoming a nicktoon… i do believe ed edd n eddy would have a similar production span if it did got green-lighted to nick, only with a couple of alterations: Production would begin in 1998, and the series would premiere in early 1999. The series would decide to end off by the mid-2000’s, however Nickelodeon would be impressed by the success the show had garnered to it’s audience that the network would create a deal to produce additional seasons along with a possible television movie release. Unfortunately unlike the cartoon network run, the series declined in popularity in later seasons by the midst of the late 2000’s. Reruns faded, newer episodes would take longer to release, some premieres would be scheduled in dead time-slots with even some episodes being burned off to Nicktoons Network. However fortunately as part of the show’s contract with the network, it would be given a made-for-TV film project as promised. The film was produced in 2008, and would premiere to the network on November 6, 2009 leading up to a sneek peek premiere of “Fanboy & Chum Chum.” Unfortunately though, reruns were pulled from the network’s flagship schedule in early 2010. Despite this, the show would make some occasional appearances to nickelodeon (more specifically specials) in the early 2010’s. Similar to Rugrats & Jimmy Neutron reruns. The tradition would sadly end by 2014, similar to the removal of reruns on CN at that time. Reruns on Nicktoons would continue after the shows cancellation until a rebrand in May 2014. 2 years later, the show would return on air as part of TeenNick’s retro block in 2016. Since then, the show has made only occasional appearances on NickRewind. (Similar to Kablam, Teenage Robot, ChalkZone, El Tigre, to name a few) VHS Effect done in True VHS.
