I'm glad that this ended the way I thought it probably would. I do feel excited to see what they do next season, I want to see how they handle Abby's side of the story. As for this season - there were definitely a few highlights, including last episode, but the more I sit with this season, the less I like it. I'm just really saddened by how they handled Ellie's character in particular, but also the characterization in the series as a whole. The tone of this season was completely off, the setting wasn't explored nearly enough, a ton of detail was left out, characters are nothing like what they should be, and in general I think they completely missed the mark with this adaptation. I'll put more thoughts below in a pinned comment. I wish that everyone experiencing this story for the first time got to play the game to experience it instead.
