Liver, kidney and ENT surgery with the da Vinci robot at the University Hospital Erlangen

Surgery with the "da Vinci" robot. In our series "Healthy and Fit," we explore how liver cancer is operated on using this state-of-the-art precision instrument. Thanks to high-resolution 3D images and the 360-degree mobility of the instruments, the surgeon can remotely control the procedure with millimeter precision. Ultimately, only four small incisions remain as evidence of the complex surgery.
