Extremely close encounters between predators and humans. The humans in these videos encountered a predator that completely surprised them and they did not have the opportunity to escape and avoid the confrontation. This video here is from a journalist who was not sure which animal was walking towards her. Many people thought it was a cougar, but then determined that it was just a neighborhood dog. I would surely start crying if I ever encountered a situation like this or would freeze up, since that was what I did when a dog chased me and my friends, but it only ran after the people who fled, so maybe not moving works . I live in California and have lived in the mountains, but fortunately I have never found a cougar or a bear. I played a lot outside as a child and I never saw a rattlesnake until I was about 22 years old. I consider myself really lucky.
