Check out our 11 second 1/4 mile video here: • World's Fastest All Motor Maxima runs 11s ... --------------------- Part 1 of 2 The world's fastest NA 3rd gen Maxima now becomes the the world's first VQ35DE Swap in a 3rd gen Maxima (89-94) with FULL ECU wiring! www.NWPEngineering.com This is the very first time the engine was turned over after a 6 month engine build up. No rattling or ticking was heard at any point of the initial startup. Permatex Ultra Slick Engine assembly lube was used and timing chain tensioners were snug during installation. A few seconds after the engine fired up, a camshaft break in procedure was done by holding the engine at 1800rpm for at least 10-15 minutes. The battery charger was not putting out enough power to run the engine, so it stalled after the engine ran for about 13 minutes, which is good enough. The alternator was hooked up later. The engine also is running with open headers since custom Ypipe will need to be made.
