India Meteorological Department, the nation’s official forecaster, today forecast that India will get normal monsoon this year. The rainfall is likely to be 96% of the long-term average, with an error margin of +/-5% of the long period average, the IMD said. New Delhi defines average, or normal, rainfall as between 96% and 104% of a 50-year average of 88 centimetres (35 inches) for the four-month season beginning June. The IMD expects normal to below normal rainfall in some areas of north west India and some parts of west central India and some pockets of north east India. #imd #monsoon #indiamonsoonseason #cnbctv18 #businessnews #businessnewstoday #businessnewsinenglish #sharemarkettoday About CNBC-TV18: India's leading business news channel, CNBC-TV18 offers the most comprehensive coverage of businesses, the economy and the financial markets.
