Pakistan Financial Minister Announces 'Pak To Increase Petrol & Diesel Prices By 35 PKR Per Litre'

The Pakistani government has announced a 35-PKR increase in petrol and diesel prices per litre. Pakistan Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced the increase in fuel prices, which took effect at 11 a.m. on January 29. On Sunday, Ishaq Dar made the announcement during a televised address. He stated that kerosene and light diesel oil prices had been raised by PKR 18 per litre. According to the Pakistan Finance Ministry, the new price of petrol is PKR 249.80 per litre and diesel is PKR 262.80 per litre. "We've decided to raise the price of gasoline and diesel by Rs 35. The price of kerosene and light diesel oil has risen by Rs18," Dar stated that the new prices would take effect at 11 a.m. today.
