CAIR-MI Calls Out University of Michigan for Hostile Environment Against Free Speech on Gaza

The University of Michigan has been flagged as an “institution of particular concern” by CAIR-MI for allegedly creating a hostile environment for students voicing opposition to the occupation. CAIR recently filed a complaint with the Department of Education following reports that University President Santa Ono is under pressure to downplay incidents of Islamophobia on campus. Students have shared that they feel unsafe and unable to freely express themselves on issues related to Gaza. CAIR urges the University to take action in protecting the rights and safety of all students.
