1958 MGA Restoration 30k Windscreen Pt 2 and Speakers Install

I spent a couple hours tying up a few loose ends. I bought some black outdoor sealant and put a healthy bead of the stuff into the u-channel that the windscreen sits in. Prior to, I taped off all the chrome and the windscreen, above a distance of about a quarter inch or so. The theory was that when I squeeze the windshield into the sealant, the excess will be forced out on both aides, onto the tape. I'll remove the tape and excess, allow the stuff to dry overnight, and I'm done. This worked. I also could have bought some wide foam weatherstripping and applied it to the same areas, but the method I used is going to adhere the screen to that channel. If I ever have to replace it, the stuff has enough "give" to allow me to remove what I need to. I've also installed the rear view mirror. What a teeny little thing it is too... Also, a while back, I made some plywood coutouts for the triangle portions of my interior, near the footwells. I installed some speakers (no speaker covers though - I thought they came with the kit, but nope) there. It now occurs to me that I'll need to be mindful of what I'm doing with my feet while driving - the install locations are near where the clutch will be at full depression. By the way, for anyone interested in buying the same windscreen, here's the vendor: Philip's Plastics, LTD 3801 East Roeser Road #18 Phoenix, AZ 85040 602-470-1808
