This study abroad program is part of a Learning Community that combines two transferable classes: English 102 and History 121. In this program, you will read and write about the history of Latin America, with a focus on Cuba, and its often contentious relationship with the United States. Through assigned readings, essays, and assorted projects, both classes will have a principal focus on our shared theme, "Race, Class, and the Revolutionary Spirit." In addition to achieving the course outcomes for both classes, you will also gain critical and highly valued 21st century skills in critical thinking and analysis, and intercultural communication and awareness through an integrated global learning experience. (Plus, did we mention 10 days in CUBA!!!)
